Product Overview

Fabrique Nationale (FN motorcycle) is a hand pulled, limited edition fine art lithograph, by S2 Art of the original vintage poster by Marcello Nizzoli.

Nizzoli had created the art deco image, in 1925, as an advertising poster to promote the FN (Fabrique Nationale de Herstal) motorcycle company located in Belgium. In the poster, the woman on the back of the motorcycle is applying her lipstick, while the machine is in motion, demonstrating the effectiveness of the absorbers.

The lithograph is pulled through an 1800s French Marinoni Voirin press on Rives BFK cotton paper.

This is not print or reproduction. It is a remastered, recreated, original work of art.

This piece was produced at S2 Editions Atelier, New York City, in 1998, under the guidance of the Ré Society, Ltd, and S2 Art company.

This lithograph bears the trademark of the Ré Society, plus the blind stamped emblem of the S2 Editions Atelier. The signature of the chromist, Speranta Popper, is also printed unobtrusively on this lithograph in order to distinguish it from the original Golden Age poster.

The lithograph is sequentially numbered in pencil in the lower left border, by a curator at S2 Editions.

Comes with a certificate of authenticity by S2 Art Group, Ltd. Item is packaged and shipped in a museum quality tube.

Dimensions: 32" x 47"

Note: The DaVinci Emporium watermark will not appear your lithograph.
