The Moth Hunter is original wood carving, by Jim Maas, depicts a seldom-seen long-eared owl and an also rarely-seen Virginia creeper moth. The owl and moth are both life-sized and made of tupelo wood and hand-painted in oil. The base is carved using multiple pieces and hand-painted using acrylic paint.
