A New Beginning 18" x 24" framed original oil painting on canvas by Russ Docken. The painting illustrates the way the Native Americans and the Mountain man coexisted with one another. Although there was bloodshed among them, they eventually became friends and learned to work together and even intermarried. Along the way, various Indian tribes shared their knowledge of living off the land and partaking of nature's abundance.
