Inspiration for the Art
Born in 1968, football legend Barry Sanders was one of eleven children. His family molded him into the quiet and humble person we admire today. During his early years in football, Barry played defensive back but longed to be a great running back. In his senior year of high school, Barry’s coach moved him from defensive back to running back. The rest was history. Barry earned All-State honors that year, and in 1986, he started college at Oklahoma State University. His 1988 may be the greatest season in college history. So many offensive numbers and the college football records he set in 1988 still stand today. He received the Heisman Trophy that year. Barry Sanders went on to greatness at the highest level of football, and when he retired, Barry continued to excel in his business and personal life.
