Product Overview
In 1896, Alphonse Mucha created his first set of decorative panels and The Seasons quickly became one of his most popular series. So, popular was the series, that in 1897 and 1900 the artist commissioned printer, Champenois to produce two more sets based on the same theme.
The artwork that you will be purchasing is a museum edition hand-pulled lithograph of the original 1896, The Seasons in screen format by publisher, S2 Art Group, Ltd.
The lithograph was created under the endorsement of the Mucha Foundation and bears their chop mark as well as the publisher, S2 Art.
It was hand drawn at the Mucha Foundation while viewing the original artwork, therefore the colours are a perfect match making it difficult to distinguish it from the original.
