Product Overview
JOB cigarette is a limited edition, hand-pulled fine art lithograph of Alphonse Mucha's 1896 classic work of art titled: JOB Cigarette
The cigarette rolling paper poster is one of Mucha's more popular images. The Joseph Bardeau Company had commissioned Mucha to create the advertising poster to promote their cigarette papers. This image of the swirling hair goddess became so popular that Mucha published it as a lithograph.
The poster was pulled on Rives BFK archival paper, one color at a time, on an antique French Marinoni Voirin printing press.
This piece was hand drawn at the Mucha Foundation while viewing the original artwork. As a result, the colors are a perfect match. You will not be able to distinguish this lithograph from the original.
It was printed at S2 Atelier in New York City by master printers under the supervision of Technical Director Raymond Mazza.
This lithograph bears the chop mark of S2 Editions Atelier. The signature of the chromist is printed unobtrusively on this lithograph to distinguish this recreation from Mucha’s original work.
It comes with a certificate of authenticity from S2 Art Group, Ltd.
