Bighorns in the Mist is a framed 36" x 48" original painting on canvas by Grant Hacking. The mist and fog add intrigue and drama to the artwork. Not being able to see our imagination takes over. Grant states that a misty dusty scene is one of his favorite things to paint. Another of his favorite things is painting a misty scene. When creating a misty scene he paints the animal in brown and grey tones. Once done, he lets the paint dry for a couple of days. Then Grant paints over it using thick colorful paint to enhance and exaggerate the lighting. This is like turning up the contrast on a photo.
