On the Bright Side is a 21" x 14.5" framed original painting on canvas by Susan Bourdet. Susan states that what she loves most about the watercolor process is contrasting soft, wet-into-wet backgrounds with finely detailed subjects. For this painting, she chose a dark background to offset the bright birch bark and the delicate black and white plumage of one of her favorite birds.
