Product Overview
The Plains of Africa is a 40" x 52" framed original painting on canvas by Grant Hacking. He says that he has painted similar scenes many times. Sometimes just as a landscape and sometimes as a landscape with a giraffe, elephant, or zebra. Although The Plains of Africa scene is from his imagination, it's one of his favorite impressions of Africa. With the open plains, you can see for miles, and the acacia trees stand out vividly. Almost every afternoon during the summer, the storm clouds gather as large cumulous nimbus clouds, and in the late afternoons, it inevitably rains with a violent thunderstorm. To Grant, this is quintessential Africa.
