Montegrappa pays tribute to the renowned Renaissance artist Raffaello (a.k.a. Raphael) with this collection of 500th anniversary limited edition fountain pens. The pens showcase Raphael's most appreciated works.

The collection is called Raffaello and it consists of 5 designs that are among the most time-sensitive products in Montegrappa's 108 year history. Miniaturist and museum restorer, Alessandra Malesan took on the monumental task of reproducing the masterpieces on the shiny 16 mm pen cylinders. Only 5 illustrations of each motif is created because it requires many weeks to complete just one.

The pens are exhaustively detailed and all metal fittings are in sterling silver with 18k gold nib. The collection feature friezes and stuccos reproduced from the Vatican's famous Raphael rooms.

The reproductions consist of: Raffaello's self portrait, Saint Catharine of Alexandria, Sistine Madonna, Madonna of the Meadows and Madonna della Seggiola.
